Happy Summer!

The birds are singing, the grass is growing, the flowers are blooming — AND the gallery is open 7 days a week 10-4:00 pm! Join our resident “hooker” Lynn on Mondays and Tuesdays. She will amaze you with her hooking skills! Really.  Patrick Leahy was truly amazed!

Come visit with me – Ellen on the other days. I am filling in for Jim as he heals from his recent foot surgery. I am ever-so-hopeful that I will be able to prop him up in the gallery soon! Just sitting is getting pretty old for Jim!

We’d love to show you around the gallery.

Where’s Jim? (and what’s with the crazy hours…)

Jim getting ready to leave the hospital.
All dressed and nowhere to go!

On June 12th, Jim had some much needed surgery on his foot.  The surgery went well and we are all hoping it will help him walk better in the future.  But, for now — he can put no weight on his foot for 6 weeks.  Currently he is at home propped up in an oversize recliner which is doubling as his bed.  Actually it is not a bad life – he is getting waited on hand and foot.  Even Elvis, our yellow lab is being ultra considerate to dear Jim.

So, that leaves me – Ellen – to deal with all things home, farm, work, and gallery.  Yikes! So, if I am a bit late to open the gallery, it means I am chasing goats, chickens, and alpacas at home.  If I have to close early, it means a doctors appointment for Jim.

I will try to anticipate any nudges in the gallery schedule.  I will post to both facebook, twitter, and our website.  Hopefully once he gets a more substantial cast on his foot, I can park Jim at the gallery and still tend the animals at home!

Whooeee…what a ride!
