MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!

There will be two art shows at the gallery this summer, the first being a show of turned wood, called Turning Vermont, A Show of Wood.  This show will start on June 24th and run until July 30th.  There will be an artists reception for wood turners, wood turning enthusiasts and all others on Wednesday, July 12 from 4:00 to 7:00.  There will also be frequent woodturning demos throughout the show – occurring mostly on weekends.

A second art show will take place in August, starting on August 1st and running until September 15th.  The show title is Heartfelt Vessels for Peace and will feature pottery items created by students from the Across the Grain Pottery Studio in South Hero.  An artist’s reception on Thursday, August 10th occurs from 4:00 to 7:00.  All are welcome.

There will be a silent auction associated with each of these art shows where show artists will donate an item to be auctioned off.  All the proceeds from these auctions will be donated to the World Central Kitchen, chef José Andrés for his work in Ukraine and in Turkey.

Sunshine

I love the sunshine of early spring.  It is brighter and more direct somehow.  Even with the cold temperatures it warms me up and makes me smile!  Spring is coming soon.  And with it so many great things…more daylight in the afternoon…more Vermonters being vaccinated…more energy to do all those things I meant to do during COVID (when I had the time).

The gallery is full to bursting with the wonderful art work of over 70 Vermont artists. The bunnies above are by gallery artist, Sarah Rosedahl.  We welcomed back Randy Henson, carver of wooden spoons and Ann Joppe-Mercure creator of “Written in Stone” hand made books just this week!

Current Hours:  Thursday – Sunday, 11-5:00 pm.
