10th Annual Trunk Show!
10th Annual Trunk Show and Sale, July 30, 2022 will take place from 10-4:00 on Saturday on the grounds of the Grand Isle Art Works @ 259 US Rte 2 in Grand Isle. There will be artwork for sale by the gallery artists plus their invited art friends!
A Trunk show = a sale of new or different items. You won’t want to miss this event! We are continuing the “wood” tent with demonstrations and multiple wood artists available to share their many talents!

This organization, Voices of Children is providing psychological support with more than 50 psychologists. They are helping to evacuate families with children, seeking housing for them, providing them with food and clothing. As a past elementary school teacher and now a literacy consultant working with children and adults, this organization speaks to me!
Earlier this year we sent almost $4000 to the World Central Kitchen and UNICEF. We need your help…to help the children of Ukraine!

‘Book Works’ features artwork from members of the Book Arts Guild of Vermont.
Using the book as a format or as material, artists use the
interaction of concept, structure, materials, and content to create a
kind of happening or experience for the reader. The exhibit includes a wide range of techniques and subject matter ranging from repurposed books turned into sculptural shapes to miniature woven paper structures and zines*.
Art work will be on sale throughout the show.
*A zine is a self-published, non-commercial print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches. Zines are created and bound in many DIY ways, but traditionally editions are easily reproduced—often by crafting an original “master flat,” and then photocopying, folding, and stapling the pages into simple pamphlets. Zines may also be sewn, taped, glued—or even exist in unbound and other non-folio formats. The main rule is that there are no rules!
People who create zines [“zinesters”] are likely to be more motivated by self-expression and artistic passion than they are by profit: zines are usually inexpensive and sometimes distributed for free or in trade for other zines, goods, and services.
