Take a seat at the gallery

Grand Isle art Works is taking part in the “Take a Seat in the Islands” promotion sponsored by the Champlain Islands Chamber of Commerce. Our bench has been painted by our very own gallery artist: Rachel Laundon! It will arrive this Saturday. Be the one of the first to take a seat on our bench in the islands!

Watch for the Yellow Signs!

May 28 and 29 is Vermont Open Studio weekend! Watch for the yellow signs to start appearing all over the state. This is your opportunity to get inside your favorite Vermont artists’ studio or gallery. The gallery and Yellow Dog Farm are representing the islands. Come on out – rain or shine!

Look what I made!

Yes, me! I made a Norwegian Toque under the guidance of our instructor, June Golato! I have not knit with small needles in a while. I love the way this hat came out and was surprised that it actually knit up so quickly.

Here it is! Knit from my very own 50% mohair – 50% Columbian wool. June has a great Norwegian mitten pattern for us to try out in another class. Watch for details.

My sister, Sally came for a visit last weekend. She is a felter – wet felter, that is! She spent all day Saturday teaching me how to create felted flowers. I am not a pro yet – but I love the results. Made from our mohair, of course!

We have more classes coming up – check out the Programs page!

Mother’s Day

This is one of those holidays you just do not want to forget!  We have some amazing new art work which is perfect for this occasion.

Come on out, Thursday through Saturday.  Bring home a bit of spring flare with your purchase – just perfect for mom!

Spring

Spring is here. The sun is shining!  Birds are singing!

Grand Isle Art Works has captured this wonderful spirit of spring with our 30+ artisans.  Their work nearly sings out loud these days – full of the colors we missed all winter long.

Intrigued?  Come on out for a visit!
