Plein Air Paint Out: Painting the Vintner’s Realm.

Grand Isle County, Vermont, (September 14, 2013). This is a Lake Champlain Islands’ art and wine connection that is sure to be the talk of the summer! Visit the Lake Champlain Islands for the very best the summer has to offer: a lush vineyard with spectacular lake and mountain views and artists capturing the scene! Join painters at Snow Farm Vineyard, South Hero, East Shore Vineyard in Grand Isle, and/or Hall Home Place, Isle La Motte from 10-3:00 pm. See the art being created and have a taste of summer from the vineyard!
The day will culminate at Grand Isle Art Works at 259 US Route 2 in Grand Isle where artists will display and sell their finished pieces. Join us in the Café at the Gallery for a cash bar with cheeses and veggies. All are invited from 4-6:00 PM. Selected gallery items will be offered in a silent auction. A portion of the proceeds from the art sale and auction will benefit C.I.D.E.R.!

We have several Vermont made pieces donated by our gallery artists. Each of the items below can be seen in the gallery until September 14th. Our Plein Air Paint Out ~ Painting Vintner’s Realm Celebration that day will be the last time for bids to be accepted. Portions of the proceeds from the Silent Auction and Plein Air Sales will support our Hiding in Plain Sight Sign Project and C.I.D.E.R., our local non-profit helping elders in the islands. Do consider adding your bid!
Join us for our 3rd Annual Trunk Show and Sale during the Festival of the Islands weekend! We will have the big tent full of artisans plus multiple smaller artists tents will abound with new and different art work. We have everything from felted gnomes to painted gourd ornaments to silk scarves to hand turned wood bowls! Lots of demonstrations will take place throughout the 2 days, 10-4:00 both days! AND Zach will have his now famous gazpacho and beef brisket sliders! don’t miss the fun!

GRAND ISLE, Vermont (July 20th, 2013) – Welcome to the 1st Annual: Plein Air Paint Out: Painting the Vintner’s Realm! This is a Lake Champlain Islands’ art and wine connection, to be held on July 20th, 2013, that is sure to be the talk of the summer. The Paint Out will take place at East Shore Vineyard in Grand Isle, Hall Home Place orchard and cafe in Isle La Motte, and Snow Farm Vineyard, in South Hero. The day will conclude at Grand Isle Art Works in Grand Isle.
Here is your chance to visit the Lake Champlain Islands for the very best the summer has to offer: lush vineyards and orchards with spectacular lake and mountain views! Artists will be assigned to a winery/orchard. Once there, artists will paint the scene of their choosing. Each artist will identify their painting area with signage for the event, making it easily seen by the day’s attendees.
Vineyards/orchards are encouraged to offer tastings of their specialty wines throughout the day! There should be much browsing and sampling of the fruit and the brush. During the painting hours of 10:00-3:00, visitors (and painters) can plan to experience the sensory pleasures of sight and taste – art and wine!
In the afternoon, artists will bring their framed finished pieces from the day to Grand Isle Art Works for the Palette to Palate Celebration and Art Sale which will take place from 4:00-7:00 pm on the gallery grounds.
