February certainly has a mind of its own!  The gallery is surrounded by piles of snow, made bigger and bigger as the snow plow keeps our little parking lot open..  It is warm and cozy – just right for a mid winter visit.  We have eight brand new artists and more on the way.  Come on out and give us a look-see.  We are open Thursdays noon – 8:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays, noon – 5:00 pm.

While the gallery may seem a bit quiet on the outside during the month of January, trust us it will not be quiet on the inside!

The kitchen renovations are continuing for the opening of the Kitchen Door Cafe. Already we have a new floor and new sinks. Next week begins the work on the custom exhaust vent for that ENORMOUS Castle stove and oven. I can already smell the biscotti baking…!

Meanwhile, Jim is on painting duty. It is finally time to admit that we hurried to get the gallery open last July and literally ran out of time to get all the trim boards and display furniture painted. Jim will also be building more display furniture for our newest artists.

It is TWEEN TIME – that funny week between the frenzy of Christmas and festivities of New Year’s Eve. If you are feeling “tweenish” come on out to visit the gallery. The shortest day of the year…and a lunar eclipse! It is picture perfect outside my window.

Longer days are coming and with them will be our brand new cafe in our very old house! Work has begun in earnest on the cafe – kitchen, bathroom are all moving forward. The Kitchen Door Cafe will be here before we know it! Jeanne is working on menus right now! Watch for details in January/February.
