The Champlain Islands Open Farm and Studio Tour is celebrating its 10th year! July 9 & 10, artists and farms will open their doors from 10-4 to give visitors a chance to view the varied talents, crafts, animals, and food that the Islands have to offer. Art demonstrations and sales, farm tours, wine tastings, farmer’s market, music, and more are yours to be discovered. Come explore the Heart of the Islands at this family friendly weekend event!

Doodle, Draw, Color and Savor with Sarah! Date: Wednesday, July 27, 5 – 7:00 pm Do you love to doodle? Have you discovered adult coloring books? Then you are perfect for this fun evening with North Hero artist, Sarah Rosedahl. Zentangle drawing…not just for kids! Enjoy creating your own Zentangle Chickens or color in some of Sarah’s. The evening includes getting to know Sarah and her artwork, plus drawing and/or coloring time with friends and a sip or two of the vino! Grand Isle Art Works serves many Vermont wines and beers that will encourage your artistic spirit! Vermont cheeses and veggies will also be available for sale during the class.

Painting on Silk Demonstration

Nancy has been painting on silk for many years. She loves the vivid colors and flow of the paints & dyes on the silk. She is inspired by strong colors, dancing lines and anything to do with nature. She spends as much time as she can outside with my camera to capture subjects for her silk paintings (heron, turtles, dragonflies, butterflies are a few). She is passionate for purple & uses it as much as she can!
