Take a Seat in the Islands!
Join us for…Take a Seat in the Islands!
Our bench has just arrived. It is truly a masterpiece of art work and story all in one. Grand Isle art works Artist, Rachel Laundon captured our true winter story of the escaped emu…complete with happy ending! You have to see it to believe it. She captured the children from Folsum school in South Hero, and helped all all imagine the places he visited on his hunt for freedom!
VT Open Studio Weekend is here!
We are filled to the brim with art work from some very talented Vermont artists – 60+ in total! The weekend is bringing out many of our artists to demonstrate their craft with our visitors!
We would love to have you join us, 10-5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday! Come have a glass of lemonade and one of Jim’s famous cookies!
New Beginnings…again!
Each year, we learn something new. And each year we are given a challenge that, for a bit of time, seems insurmountable. And, if patterns can be true, we tend to figure out the challenge and end up with something even better than our original plan.
Stay tuned for one of these “better yet” solutions! Our fingers are crossed. The construction is almost complete. Our hearts and souls are committed to solving this one. Watch for signs of our newest addition:
Cafe at the Gallery
Simple cooking using local foods and spirits!
In the mean time, check out our great slate of classes! Our artists are the best at what they do and we are fortunate to have them share their talents here at Grand Isle Art Works! You can register right on the website – or give a call over to the gallery and we will reserve your spot.

This non-profit event is being held in conjunction with the 2012 Discover the Heart of the Islands: Open Farm and Studio Tour on July 10 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. For five years, tour participants have asked for more places to eat the local foods. Taste of the Islands solved this problem!

- Specialty foods produced in the islands
- Signature dishes from
- Local restaurants
- Local caterers
- Farmers’ Market vendors

All appropriate Health Department requirements need to be followed. Electricity is available for a limited number of vendors. All attempts will be made to NOT duplicate food items. 10′x10′ Booth/table space: $35.00 for the day; non-profit groups: $25.00.
